Without the support of the following companies and people we wouldn’t be able to host the oldest and best relay in the US! Each of our partners have either helped financially, let us use their space, provided products or given their time but all of them are very important to us. So please be sure to give each of these sponsors a moment of your time by saying thank you.

Travel Nevada

With Lake Tahoe straddling the border between California and Nevada there is no way possible to run the entire lake without going through the scenic segments in Nevada. Huge thanks goes to the Travel Nevada tourism board for helping make our race possible. So, don’t just stop at the lake but explore a world of adventure in Nevada and go home with more stories than souvenirs.

Tahoe South

Since our race starts and ends in South Lake Tahoe, we couldn’t do it without the support of our visitors’ authority. Tahoe South showcases and highlights everything awesome that happens on the southern half of Lake Tahoe including our race!

City of South Lake Tahoe

The DeCelle Memorial receives tremendous support from the City of South Lake Tahoe. Thanks to all the people from the City who helped make the race possible through the generous support of time and effort.

Lakeview Commons

For those that joined us last year, we moved our start/finish line to the beach. While we all loved the opportunity to dangle our sore feet in the water and relax, it was missing something. We wanted the race to embrace the community just as much as the lake. We can’t say thank you enough for the beating heart of South Lake Tahoe – the Lakeview Commons for letting us use their destination for our finish/start line.

Sufferfest Brewery

There’s nothing like celebrating a long run with a cold one and so we must give a shout out to the Sufferfest crew for allowing everyone to enjoy one. It was the perfect reward after the long “Sufferfest” of the Lake Tahoe Relay. By athletes for athletes, Sufferfest was a thirst-quenching, probiotic-friendly and gluten-removed beer designed to perform.

Cal Trans & NDOT

The Department of Transportations are responsible for planning and coordinating the entire 72 miles of our race to make sure it’s possible. A MEGA thanks for Cal Trans & NDOT for again allowing us to hold this logistically challenging race. We couldn’t have done it without you!

CHP, NHP & South Lake Tahoe Police Department

Safety is key when you have hundreds of people racing around the lake on a roadway. This year was especially challenging with all the construction happening. We can’t say thanks enough to all of the officers that helped make sure that everyone stayed safe during the race.

On Course Events

The On Course Events team came through yet again to make sure the entire day was perfect. They made sure our logistical nightmare went off without a hitch. From pre- and post-party happenings, On Course Events will help us make the whole experience off-the-hook!

Sean Cummings

While Lake Tahoe might be 4,881 miles from Glasgow, Scotland it felt like the bagpipe’s bellows were calling everyone to the finish line. How can that be? Well, for the 54th edition we enlisted the help of Lake Tahoe’s most famous bagpiper… Sean Cummings. A HUGE thanks to Sean for helping root the final racers to the finish line in his own way and making our event unique.

Volunteers – South Tahoe Cross Country, South Tahoe Dance Team, Sierra Education Foundation, Operation Rebound, family and friends.

Being a non-profit race means that we’re holding this race for the love of it. It also signifies that we need a lot of help from volunteers. Because of their invaluable contribution, we’re eager to say a big public “Thank you volunteers! We salute you!”

Preston Development

We couldn’t have built on the tradition of this race without the resources and tools that were provided by Preston Development. Striving for perfection in every home and structure they build they’ve been in the construction business for over two decades. Whether you’re remodeling your home or creating your dream estate, be sure to think of Preston Development for your next project.

Revive Coffee and Wine

Nestled in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, Revive Coffee & Wine was the PERFECT setting to host the registration for the race. Its picturesque front-yard filled with towering trees and beautifully landscaped grounds gave all of us a chance to relax before the race. I know a few of you along with ourselves got a chance to explore their specialty brews, local wines & gourmet nibbles. HUGE thanks to the Revive team for making all of us feel comfortable and welcome.

I sure hope we didn’t forget anyone because it takes lots of partners to make this event happen and we are forever grateful to all of them. Please help us thank or partners by giving them support if you can.

Sincerely,
The DeCelle Memorial Lake Tahoe Relay Crew
